![]() COMO Signs and Supplies has seen its base expand over the years from local to one serving coast to coast. Our Thanks to those of you we've had the pleasure to serve over the past 24 years and welcome to our new customers. In the signage business there are always new technologies, laws, codes and considerations to keep up with. This year's catalog features up-to-date products and services designed to meet all your requirements, because our primary goal is to provide the best service possible. COMO Signs and Supplies is located in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the Heart of friendly Cajun Country. Businesses here are built on service and personal attention to detail and customer's needs. Everyone knows about New Orleans and Mardi Gras, etc., and now the word is out about Cajun culture too. The Cajuns settled in Louisiana in the 1600's (?) after their expulsion from Canada. They brought their French language and "love of life" with them. Lafayette is the Hub City for many festivals and industries featuring the music and food of this tradition. We have the second largest Mardi Gras celebration in America. Cajun music is folk music, handed down through the generations, featuring at different periods fiddle, accordion, guitar, triangle and lately drums, electric bass and steel guitar for contemporary Cajun music so popular with the dancing that goes hand in hand with the food. The food is built around sauces and "rouxs" (roos) as they are called here. Local favorites of course are crawfish and seafood as well as many unique and spicy treatments of the entire spectrum of meats and vegetables. Spicy doesn't mean simply hot (a common misunderstanding) but rich in flavors and seasonings. The French language is on the comeback in schools and festivals and through the international nature of many of Louisiana's businesses (oil being the most visible). It's traditional and legendary how we work and play hard in Cajun Country, and that's a big part of COMO's day to day commitment to our customers - we're going to work real hard for you. Give us a call - let us solve your signage needs and get to know you. Richard Comeaux |
